Ok folks, you're are going to love the new line of jewelry we've brought into The Gold Mine!  Its called the "Imaya Collection"!

It is said that the crystallized moonlight shines in the most wondrous way, for rather than reflecting ambient light, its radiance comes from the reflection of the wearer's inner beauty.  This is the source of inspiration for the Imaya Jewelry Collection.

This lovely line features the most intricate and gorgeous sterling silver & diamond jewelry we've seen.  And the prices, well, let me just say...its within the reach of anyone's budget!

I've pictured a few items above, but this simply doesn't do Imaya justice!  Stop by and your convenience for a preview of this line before its gets picked over!

The Beauty of the July Birthstone

Ruby is the official July birthstone and a stunning gemstone at that!  Perhaps you may not know it, but for many years, the ruby has been one of the world's most expensive gems...and one of the most sought after.

I personally have a love of the deep red hues mixed with pink/purple tones depending on the variety.  Of course, some of the world's best sources for ruby are:  Burma, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Kenya and of course, the United States!  As I hail from North Carolina, I'm proud to say that beautiful rubies come from right here in my home state!

Many folks especially like the fact that a ruby is one of the hardest of gemstones and fine ruby powder (corundum) is used for making abrasives, ex: sandpaper, drillbits, etc.

Recently, I took some beautifully colored rubies that I'd been saving for a long time and made some special rings, pendants and earrings from them.  You see, creating jewelry with gorgeous gemstones has always been a passion of mine.

I invite you to stop by today and indulge your passion for the July your life with the gorgeous red ruby!

Proper Maintenance On Your Jewelry Saves Money & Time

Remember the old saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"?  It really is true!  Everyday in my jewelry store, I notice people bringing in jewelry with loose or missing gemstones/diamonds, prongs almost worn out on rings, etc.  Why do you say this you may ask?  Because...if folks would simply have their jewelry checked & maintained just like your would save them time and lots of money!!!

If you are reading this blog, please take time every 4-6 months and bring your jewelry by my store or any professional jeweler and have stones, checked for tightness, prongs checked for wear, clasps checked on necklaces, etc.  Most jewelers like me will also give you a complimentary cleaning for FREE!

I beg you not to neglect this!  Considering that even the smallest diamonds cost a significant amount to replace...your wallet will thank you!
